If you love shooters, then you have to check this one out. Geometry Wars: Galaxies is a multi-directional shooter. It's a sequel to Geometry Wars, which was released originally as a bonus game in Project Gotham Racing 2 on the Xbox. This version of the game includes a singler player campaign mode as well as several multiplayer modes.

A Boy and his Blob
A Boy and His Blob is a platform puzzle game, and was a true successor to the NES game from 1989. This version of the game stream lined the NES version's gameplay mechanics into a more forgiving gaming experience. This is a beautiful game and has received widespread critical acclaim and praise. It has a minimalistic story that is appealing to all ages.

Dead Space Extraction
Dead Space: Extraction is a game you'll see on many people's hidden gem lists. It is a rail shooter and a prequel to Dead Space, which was released a year earlier. This one was originally released on the Wii, and it was also released on the PS3 limited edition version of Dead Space 2. The game follows a group of space colonists from the Aegis VII colony who are fighting against the Necromorphs. Necromorphs are reanimated mutated corpses -- they are basically like zombies and come to life from dead bodies. Visuals are great, and the gameplay is a blast. You'll have a lot of fun with this one.

Ivy the Kiwi?
The goal of this game is to lead Ivy, who is a newly born bird, to her lost mother. It's similar in nature to to Kirby: Canvas Curse as the player does not directly control the Ivy. Ivy is always moving left or right, unless something is in her way which makes her move in he opposite direction. You take advantage of this game mechanic by drawing lines to lead Ivy where you want her to go. This game was also released on the DS which took advantage of the stylus pen. But the gameplay is just as fun on the Wii. A great game for all ages.

De Blob
Another game that finds it way on everyone's hidden gems list. This is a platform puzzle type game, where you get to explore and free alien friends from the evil INKT Corporation, who have banned all color and fun. You get to play as de Blob, who is on a quest to bring back color to the world. The puzzles in this one are great, something that's fun for all ages.

Mini Ninjas
This one is an action adventure game that also came out on DS, Windows, PS3 and Xbox 360. The Wii version is great. You can play with six playable ninja characters who each have their own unique abilities, weapons and skills. Along the way you can collect special weapons, bombs, food items, trinkets and even a multi-functional ninja hat. If you even ninja action, you'll love this adventure game.

Little King's Story is a realtime strategy simulation role-playing game. You play as a character who wears a mysterious crown that gives him the power control the villagers. You goal is to expand the village and keep the people happy. The game combines real time adventuring elements with real time simulation. It's a fun little charming game that you need to check out.

Excitebots: Trick Racing
Excitebots: Trick Racing (know at Excite Mou Machine in Japan) is a fun little racing game developed by Monster Games. It's the 4th game in the Excite series and is the sequel to Excite Truck. It features the Excitebots as animal themed robot vehicles. What sets this apart is that you can play quick mini games during racing. It's best enjoyed using the Wii racing wheel controller.

Dawn of Discovery
Dawn of Discovery is a fun real time strategy game where you build and expand your settlement, and conquer new islands. This was also released on the DS, and was released as Anno: Create a New World in Europe. You can play in story mode, which sort of acts like a tutorial, which lets you learn the game play mechanics. And you can also play in Continous mode, which is where this game shines. You'll get a lot of bang for your buck with this one.

Batman: The Brave and the Bold
This one is for those Batman fans out there. This is the game based on the animated TV series Batman: The Brave and the Bold. It's a co/op battle game, where you can play with your friends. Each character has a unique set of skills. You even get to enjoy cutscenes throughout the gameplay. This one was also released on the DS, but the Wii version allows you to drop in/out during coop game play.

MadWorld is a hack n' slash beat 'em up multiplayer game that has beautiful graphics and fun game play. Game stages are open environments, where you go around beating up enemies with some awesome fighting gameplay. The graphics in this one set it apart, it feels like you're playing in a comic book. If you enjoy the Metal Slug series, you'll love this anthology edition.
